Greetings HINT Nation!
I hope everyone enjoyed a productive and relaxing few weeks while I was soaking up the sights, sounds, sun, and sustenance on our much-needed vacation. While I'm going to miss the Philippines, I'm excited to dive back into our important work here at Adventist Health!
The transition from vacation mode back to work mode can be a little jarring, so I wanted to share a few tips that I use to get back into the swing of things:
Ease Back In: Instead of diving headfirst into a mountain of emails and tasks, I like to start my first day back by catching up with the team, reviewing my calendar, and prioritizing the most urgent items.
Set Realistic Goals: I find it helpful to set achievable goals for my first week back. This helps me avoid feeling overwhelmed and allows me to build momentum gradually.
Clear My Workspace: A cluttered desk can lead to a cluttered mind. Taking a few minutes to organize my workspace helps me feel more focused and in control.
Schedule Breaks: It's important to take regular breaks throughout the day to avoid burnout. I like to schedule short walks or quick chats with colleagues to refresh my mind and stay energized (jet lag is real!).
Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledging even small accomplishments can help boost motivation and create a sense of progress.
I'm confident that we'll all quickly get back into the rhythm of our work and continue to provide top-notch health information management services to our community.
Remember, we're a team, and we're here to support each other every step of the way.
Here's to a productive and successful rest of the year!
